2026-10-12T13:19:54 <matrix-o-o> <fbonazzi> hi, I was wondering how I can obtain an openSUSE account when I already have a SUSE account. can I request it by pointing to my existing SUSE account for information? or do I have to create a separate new OBS account with which to then ask for an openSUSE membership?
2026-10-12T15:31:17 <acidsys> fbonazzi: you can register in https://idp-portal.suse.com/univention/self-service/#page=createaccount, though chances are you already have an account as it's also used for various SUSE services. up to you if you'd like to use the same one or not.
2026-10-12T16:21:13 <matrix-o-o> <fbonazzi> I know I have the SUSE account already. I would like to have a separate openSUSE account
2026-10-12T16:21:49 <matrix-o-o> <fbonazzi> so I can register for openSUSE using the existing SUSE account, and then create a second OBS/idp account with the newly acquired opensuse email address?
2026-10-12T16:22:15 <matrix-o-o> <fbonazzi> or is the openSUSE one already a separate account once created?
2026-10-12T16:41:09 <acidsys> if you register an account, you register that acccount, you don't register _with_ an account
