A bridge to #openSUSE would only provide Matrix users with a greater pool of people who may be able to help.  And being able to see what takes place on the Matrix side would give the IRC people greater insight as well.

No matter whether somebody uses IRC, Matrix, Discord, (whatever) for support - I do think it's important to have it accessible as a single universe.
